I am inspired and fascinated by an expression, a radiance, a smile, one or more wrinkles or a telling posture. Human strength, weakness, passion and life story captivate me and I seek to convey that in my art. I like to work in series, where I start from a defined theme where I am concerned with capturing the search and what we think we find - fantasies, lived dreams, inner imaginings - the human complexity and composition. I find that my paintings speak to many people. I exclusively paint with quality oil paint on stretched linen canvas in a 24 or 40mm blind frame. I am 62 years old and I am a self-taught visual artist and live in Tuse Næs near Holbæk, where I have my studio and gallery.
