The creative comes from my mother's family, where there are several artists now and back in time. When I remember back, I have also been drawing and painting ever since I have been able to hold a pencil.
As a 16 year old, I applied for admission to the design school (art) and completed with a bachelor's degree 4 years later. Subsequently, I was in a 2-year internship in a Danish company as a designer. I returned to the Design School to teach, so I was a teacher there, for a number of years. In parallel, I worked with freelance design for several companies and magazines.
Later I had a very exciting design project in Bolivia, for the Danish Chamber of Commerce. I visited several factories there to find the most suitable for a production, so I was in Bolivia quite a few times. Subsequently, I continued to work with some of the Bolivian companies.
For 10 years I had a shop with applied art, where I, among other things. sold my own photo collages. I have always worked with design, shape and colors and have always been working on assignments. Despite the fact that I have always been fully occupied with my work, I have always passionately wished to be able to spend all my time on art. It is possible now and I started about 1 year ago full time. I now work with digital art, which offers many creative possibilities that are not possible by painting on canvas, but I also work with painting / collage in acrylic on canvas.
Inspiration: Many years of work as a designer with countless trips to Milan, Florence and Paris. Fashion show, catwalk, beautiful models, beautiful fabrics and beautiful colors. Enthusiasm for the fantastic works of the ancient masters of the art of painting, especially the artists of the 1800s-1900s, where I use elements from the great works in the collages, which hereby appear in another pictorial composition as beautiful dreamlike figures.
In particular, I have often visited Paris, several times a year and all the way back from the 80s, where there were still 'real' Parisian women to be seen on the streets. I was a collector of the previously piquant photographs of easy-going ladies in Paris. These hung everywhere in the familiar stalls. Now I use them in some of my collages which are nostalgic looks back in a romanticized picture of life in Paris, late 1800s and early 1900s.
My photo collages are all unique (only 1 print of each) that are made professionally by a subcontractor such as giclee print on canvas with frame. The images are UV treated and color fast. Thank you very much for your interest.
